Center for Patient and Care Partner Engagement

A pancreatic cancer diagnosis changes everything — overnight.

Patients and families are thrust into a world of complex medical decisions, financial strain, emotional distress, and daily logistical challenges. While clinical teams focus on treatment, other critical support needs often go unmet.

The Center exists to fill that gap.

The Center’s programs are an extension of clinical care, designed to complement medical treatment by providing coordinated financial, emotional, and practical support to families facing pancreatic disease.

The Center’s Vision:

To redefine supportive care in pancreatic disease by integrating equitable, patient-centered services that address the financial, emotional, and practical realities of cancer.

Why The Center Matters:

Pancreatic cancer carries one of the highest distress burdens of any malignancy. Families frequently face:

  • Complex care coordination

  • Sudden loss of income

  • High out-of-pocket medical expenses

  • Travel and lodging barriers

  • Emotional isolation

  • Caregiver burnout

How The Center Creates Impact:

Emotional and Practical Support — for both patients and care partners

  • Individualized emotional support

  • Caregiver-specific programming

  • Peer connection opportunities

  • Care navigation guidance

  • Help coordinating travel and lodging

  • Educational tools for informed decision-making

Financial Relief to allow families to focus on treatment — not bills.

  • We address the often overwhelming financial strain of pancreatic cancer by:

    • Providing direct financial assistance when possible

    • Supporting travel and lodging so every individual can access the best medical care

    • Connecting patients to other programs that may help

Our mission is to ensure every patient and care partner facing pancreatic cancer has equitable access to compassionate support that strengthens them beyond medical treatment.
